First carrots: purple or white

Yup, and some of us had just learned recently.

Who would have thought that orange carrots only became popular during the 16th century? Orange carrots were developed from the yellow ones and the yellow carrots were “mutated” from the purple ones. And here’s the thing, 21st century farmers who are planting the non-orange carrots testifies the taste are not so different from that of the orange ones. Do you agree?
